Team
FT Studio is a residential architecture studio based in Cambridgeshire, jointly led by an architect and an architectural technologist, each with over 12 years’ experience delivering residential projects across Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire.
The studio specialises exclusively in domestic architecture, including house extensions, loft conversions, whole-house refurbishments, retrofit and bespoke new homes — including work on listed buildings, conservation areas and other planning-sensitive contexts.
Our work combines design clarity with technical precision, developed in parallel from early concept through to completion on site.
We remain directly involved in every stage of each project, maintaining continuity from first ideas to construction.
Studio Approach
FT Studio operates as a dual-discipline practice, where architectural design and technical delivery are integrated from the outset.
Rather than separating concept design from construction thinking, we develop both in parallel, ensuring proposals are tested early for design quality, planning strategy and buildability.
Both directors are actively involved throughout each project, contributing to decisions across design development, technical resolution and delivery.
Studio Leadership
The studio is jointly led by:
Lucio Foglia, Architect (RIBA, ARB)
Mark Tavare, Architectural Technologist (CIAT)
Together they bring complementary expertise across architectural design, spatial development, technical design and construction delivery.
This structure ensures that design intent and technical resolution are developed together from the outset, supporting continuity across all stages of a project — from early concept through to completion on site.
